Biography:
Mahi Gill was born on December 19, 1975 in Chandigarh, India. She attended Punjab University, Chandigarh where she completed her Masters in theatre in 1998.
She made her acting debut in the 2003 Punjabi film Hawayein. She continued to appear in other Punjabi films such as Mitti Wajaan Maardi and Chak De Phatte.
In 2008, she starred in her breakthrough role as Parminder in Dev.D. For her performance, she received her first Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
She went on to receive a Filmfare nomination for Best Actress for her role as Madhavi Devi in the 2011 Bollywood film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster.
