Irish actress Caitriona Balfe started her career as a fashion model. She established herself as one, walking on the runways for popular brands. This includes Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta, among others. She worked in the modeling world for about a decade. She eventually shifted her focus into acting. In 2011, she made her debut in the movie Super 8. She next had roles in the films Lost Angeles, Now You See Me, and Escape Plan. Her major breakthrough was as Claire Fraser/Randall on the television series Outlander. She got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress for her work here. The show is currently in its third season. While on Outlander, she has also played a supporting role in the film Money Monster as Diane Lester.

The 38-year-old actress remains slender and features a toned physique despite nearing her 40s. For this reason, some fans wonder how the Irish beauty maintains her slender frame. She’s also one to confidently show her naked body on the screen. Does she practice any special diet to keep in shape for her role on Outlander? It doesn’t seem so. In an interview, the actress was noted for saying: “Irish girls are generally very happy and content and don’t worry about their figures.”

However, she implements a more disciplined eating habits before doing a film or performing on a show. She said that prior to performing in front of the camera, she would work out and eat more salads. She would also eat less chocolate cakes and any other kinds of desserts a week before her scheduled performance. Also, Caitriona believes in starting the day with a healthy breakfast. She’s even fond of sharing her breakfast photos on her social media accounts, which consists of pancakes, among others. Of her favorite foods, she said: “Sushi, and soup and fruit and Indonesian and Indian and Italian and Peruvian and I used to eat and drink anything I wanted and now it’s all starting to crumble. Now, I’m suddenly allergic to alcohol.”
