Tom Ellis Workout Routine

Welsh actor Tom Ellis had his career beginnings in the early 2000s. He debuted in the TV movie The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. At the same time, he made his big screen debut in the 2001 film Buffalo Soldiers. Afterward, he starred as Frank Bennett in the TV series Nice Guy Eddie. He later had performances in several films, including Pollyanna, I’ll Be There, Messiah III: The Promise, and Much Ado About Nothing. He next had guest appearances in the British shows Midsomer Murders and Waking the Dead before starring as Justyn in the British series No Angels.

He next gained recognition for his role as Dr. Oliver Cousins in EastEnders. He later became known for his portrayal of Detective Sergeant Sam Speed in the sketch comedy show The Catherine Tate Show. It was, however, his role as Gary Preston in the British sitcom Miranda that made him widely known in the UK. In 2014, he starred as the lead role Dr. William Rush in the short-lived American series Rush. As of 2016, he stars as Lucifer Morningstar in the Fox series Lucifer, which has since been picked up by Netflix for its fourth season.

Apart from following a healthy diet plan, the 40-year-old actor stays fit by working out with his trainer. As the lead in the show Lucifer, he admits to being motivated to have a consistent workout routine to maintain a great physique. Of course, exercising also helps a great deal in giving him sufficient energy to do his work. More recently, he prefers high-intensity workouts than strength training. “These days, I do more high-intensity workouts rather than lifting heavy weights as my body is starting to creak a bit, and I’ve also started to do more yoga,” said the actor. He also enjoys sports and outdoor activities, which he engages in whenever he has some free time.
