Indian actress Rakul Preet Singh had her career beginnings in the late 2000s. She made her debut in the Kannada film Gilli. She later competed in the Femina Miss India and placed fifth. Afterwards, she decided to pursue acting full-time. She made her first Telugu appearance in Keratam. She also ventured in Tamil cinema with Thadaiyara Thaakka. Subsequently, she made her Hindi debut in Yaariyan. Her performance here was lauded by critics. She also starred in the commercially successful films Venkatadri Express, Current Theega and Loukyam. For her role in Venkatadri Express, she was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. More recently, she starred in other well-known movies in India, such as Nannaku Prematho, Sarrainodu, and Dhruva. Her work in Nannaku Prematho also won her SIIMA Award for Best Actress – Telugu, as well as a Filmfare nomination. This year, she starred in the Telugu movie Winner.

The 27-year-old actress maintains her slender physique and fit body by living a healthy lifestyle. She mostly opts nutritious foods than processed ones. She believes in the importance of loading one’s body with foods rich in nutrients to stay energetic and healthy throughout the day. As an actress, it is important for her to have high energy levels in order to do her work more efficiently. That’s why she relies on a healthy eating habit to give her sufficient energy.

She also shared her healthy habits in an interview. She said: “I believe in healthy eating and following a balanced diet. As such diet is a very misinterpreted word and sounds like a torture, I try eating homemade food and avoid any form of sweets and fried, packaged food.” She also added: “For me, eating right is just as important, even though I keep it simple. I don’t take supplements. Just eat healthy, home-cooked food including fruits, carbs, and veggies. I avoid oily stuff, fried and junk food. If I end up gorging too much on any given day, I make sure to work-out twice as much.”
