Hollywood actress Sherri Saum got her beginnings in the late 1990s. She debuted as Vanessa Hart on the NBC soap opera Sunset Beach, which she played from 1997 to 1999. For her role, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. She next starred as Casey Lennox on the comedy-drama series Beggars and Choosers. In the 2000s, she continued her career with a starring role as Keri Reynolds on the soap opera One Life to Live. After this, she made her film debut in Anne B. Real, followed by the movie Finding Home. She went on to star in the film Love and Suicide.

Still active on the small screen, she played recurring character Natalie on Rescue Me and Bess on In Treatment. From 2009 to 2010, she played Holland Kemble on Gossip Girl. She gained further prominence for starring as Lena Adams Foster on the family-drama series The Fosters, which she played from 2013 to 2018. While on the show, she also guest-starred on the television shows Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, How to Get Away with Murder, The Mysteries of Laura, and Code Black. Meanwhile, her recent film role was in 2018’s #SquadGoals.

The 44-year-old actress stays in shape by living an active lifestyle. Apart from her healthy diet plan, she also makes sure she gets enough workout. In an interview though, Saum said she gets her exercise from simply being a mom to her twin sons.

“Believe it or not, I feel like I’ve never been more fit because of them,” the actress said in an interview with People. “I remember people telling me, ‘I get my workout running after my toddler,’ and I was secretly thinking, ‘That’s a joke right?’ And now I understand it.”

“I literally don’t sit down”, she continued. “I’m basically lifting weight all day long – I’m picking them up, putting them down, picking them up, putting them down. It truly is a workout.”
