It was in 2000 that Jennette McCurdy started her Hollywood career with an appearance on Mad TV. Afterwards, she made her cinematic debut in the movie Shadow Fury. She went on to play small roles in the films Hollywood Homicide and Breaking Dawn. She then got her major breakthrough as Sam Puckett on the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly. While on the show, she had roles in the movies Minor Details, Fred: The Movie, and Snowflake, the White Gorilla. She reprised her role as Sam Puckett on the spin-off series Sam & Cat. She also played the lead on the web series What’s Next for Sarah? which she also wrote, created, and produced. She recently starred as Wiley Day on the TV series Between.
Even when she was younger, Jennette follows a healthy lifestyle with a clean diet. She’s also physically active. She gets moving whenever she can. In an interview, she shared how her mother’s serious medical condition influenced and inspired her to follow a healthy lifestyle. She said: “When I was very young, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer”. She shared her mom’s clean eating habit and exercise routine helped her recover.
“My mom also exercises daily. I think that since she has been on this diet and exercise routine for so long, it made me realize from a young age how important physical activity and nutrition is to preventing cancer and other diseases,” she added. So, this experience in her family helped get the discipline she needs to have a healthy lifestyle herself. She revealed: “Exercise is something that I really enjoy, so that is not as hard for me to do! I figure skate and play ice hockey, which are both very great forms of exercise, plus they’re super fun! I also stretch daily to keep my muscles from getting bulky!”
