Michael C. Hall was born on February 1, 1971 in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. His professional screen career began after being cast as David Fisher in the critically acclaimed HBO series Six Feet Under, playing the part from 2001 to 2005, for which he had earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

After this, he even received further fame for playing the titular character in Dexter, another critically praised television series. He portrayed Dexter Morgan from 2006 to 2013, earning him his second Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2008. He has made his theatrical debut in 2003’s Paycheck as Agent Klein.
