Biography:

Tena Desae was born on February 24, 1987 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She attended National Institute of Management College and graduated with a degree in Business Management.

She first came to public attention after participating in the reality show competition Get Gorgeous. Though she did not win the contest, she was offered a contract by the Elite Model India and has since appeared in over 100 commercials.

She then ventured into acting, making her debut with the 2011 Hindi feature Yeh Faasley. Other movies such as Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande and Cocktail followed before making her English-language debut with the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
