Australian beauty Mia Wasikowska is now a Hollywood staple thanks to many notable performances on the big screen. She began her career on Australian screen with a stint on All Saints. She was then noticed for her performance on the HBO series In Treatment. Her big break came after landing the role of Alice in the film Alice in Wonderland. She’s recently reprised her role in the sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. She has also portrayed the titular character in the 2011 film adaptation of Jane Eyre. Other notable performances are in The Kids Are All Right, The Double, Maps to the Stars, and Crimson Peak.

The 28-year-old actress maintains her slender figure and fit body by practicing a healthy lifestyle. Naturally, Mia has an active lifestyle which starts with her being a dancer. This is prior to pursuing acting full-time. The actress also shared how she’s achieved dramatic weight loss that gives her her present figure. In an interview, she was noted for saying: “I was probably half the size I am now and more unhappy with my body than I am now. And at the same time, I was watching these films that were really inspiring me. What I loved was the imperfections they showed in people and the imperfections in the decisions they made and in the way that they looked. And that to me felt so much more right, and it was something I was really more interested in pursuing.”

She also shared her love of dancing, which helped her mold her now slender body. She said: “Dance is about perfection. It’s about the line of your ankle, the ideal weight, minute things that most people don’t notice but that dancers are trained to see and spend hours obsessing over in front of the mirror.” On the other hand, she admitted that although she misses dancing, she doesn’t miss the industry. She said: “I miss dancing, but I don’t miss the industry and the gnarly toes from pointed work. And I’ve lost my strength as I don’t really exercise any more.”
