Robert Downey Jr. Diet Plan

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. has been acting since he was five, debuting in his father’s 1970 movie Pound. In the 1980s, he became part of the Brat Pack, starring in many coming-of-age films such as in Weird Science and Less Than Zero. He found greater success in the 1990s after his portrayal of Charlie Chaplin in the biographical film Chaplin. His performance here earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He also won the BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role. The rest of the ’90s saw him star in the movies Short Cuts, Natural Born Killers, Only You, and The Gingerbread Man, among others.

From 2000 to 2002, he became known for playing Larry Paul on the Fox series Ally McBeal. He next starred in Gothika, Good Night, and Good Luck, A Scanner Darkly, Zodiac where he portrayed Paul Avery, and Fur. He then landed the role of Tony Stark in 2008’s Iron Man, followed by the movie Tropic Thunder. He later played the titular character in 2009’s Sherlock Holmes and reprised his lead role in Iron Man 2. He also played Sherlock Holmes again in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. In the 2010s, he mostly reprised his role as Iron Man in Marvel’s The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming and recently Avengers: Infinity War.

The actor is already in his 50s but he maintains a strong physique thanks to regular exercise and a clean diet plan.
Playing a superhero in one of Hollywood’s biggest film franchise, it’s kind of crucial that he takes care of his body. For this reason, the actor avoids unhealthy foods. Nothing processed for him, just clean, healthy foods. For his Iron Man role, the actor also focused on his protein consumption where he “ate a high-protein diet of 2,500 to 3,200 calories a day.”
