Derek Luke is an American actor. He first appeared in the TV series The King of Queens in 1999. Later in 2002, he received critical praise for his portrayal of the titular character in the film Antwone Fisher. He next played Boobie Miles in Friday Night Lights and portrayed Bobby Joe Hill in the film Glory Road. Subsequently, he had notable roles in the movies Catch a Fire, Lions for Lambs, Definitely, Maybe, Miracle at St. Anna and Madea Goes to Jail. He also played Sean “Puffy” Combs in the 2009 movie Notorious. In 2011, he played Gabe Jones in Captain America: The First Avenger. On TV, he’s best known for playing Cameron Boone in Trauma, Dr. Miles Bourdet in Hawthorne, Gregory Thomas in The Americans, and Marlon Dinard in Rogue. As of 2017, he plays Mr. Kevin Porter in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
