Regina Cassandra

Actress Regina Cassandra mainly works in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in the 2005 Tamil film Kanda Naal Mudhal. She next starred in more Tamil movies, Azhagiya Asura and Panchamirtham. In 2010, she ventured into Kannada cinema with the film Suryakaanti. Later in 2012, she starred in the Telugu film Shiva Manasulo Shruti, which was her first. For her role here, she won the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut (Telugu) at 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards.

That same year, she starred in another Telugu feature, Routine Love Story. In the next couple of years, she’s since had performances in both Telugu and Tamil movies. Starring in over a dozen of them, she established herself as one of the most well-known stars in the South Indian film industry. In 2019, she started pursuing a career in Bollywood, making her Hindi debut in the movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, starring alongside Anil Kapoor and Sonam K Ahuja. That same year, she starred in the Telugu-Tamil film 7 and Evaru. To add, Cassandra has roles in some upcoming Tamil films.

Regina Cassandra switched her diet to vegan in 2011 after coming across an article by PETA. Deeply affected by it, she decided to cut meat from her diet. She now sticks to a plant-based diet, also getting her protein from plant-based sources such as beans, soy and nuts. The actress has since adapted to this and found it beneficial for her body.

Apart from choosing her food well, the actress also stays healthy by eating in moderation and cutting back on processed foods. Junk food is out of the question, though she allows herself to indulge from time to time. Nonetheless, she finds ways to make her meals healthier. Because there are several options for vegans nowadays, it’s easier for her to satisfy her cravings and eat well at the same time.
