Canadian star Merritt Patterson first appeared in an episode of Kyle XY back in 2006. Her next role on television was in an episode of Supernatural. That same time, she made her big-screen debut in the 2009 film The Hole. In the 2010s, she first landed a small role in the film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Simultaneously, she had one-time roles in the TV shows Life Unexpected and The Troop.

Also, she had roles in the TV movies Iron Invader and The Pregnancy Project. In 2012, she starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Radio Rebel. Her first starring role was as Olivia Matheson in the Pretty Little Liars spin-off Ravenswood. However, it was canceled after one season. Afterward, she starred as Ophelia Pryce in the E! series The Royals, gaining her wider recognition.

Following this, she played Olivia Brukner in the Crackle series The Art of More where she was part of Season 2’s main cast. Simultaneously, she continued her work in the movies. She had performances in Rufus, Kid Cannabis, Wolves, and Primary. Her latest film role was in 2018’s Unbroken: Path to Redemption. More recently, she’s starred in some Hallmark TV movies, such as in Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New.

The 29-year-old actress maintains a healthy self by following a clean diet plan. She mostly avoids processed foods and has since cut back on carbs. She eats in moderation and doesn’t engage in excessive snacking, at least not anymore. Working as an actress, she has since learned to take care of her body by listening to what it needs. Naturally, it needs nutrients from lean proteins, healthy fats, fiber-rich foods, as well as vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables. Even her snacks are healthy ones, which include smoothies, almonds, and yogurt.
