Mena Suvari was born on February 13, 1979 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA. She appeared in American Pie, American Beauty and American Virgin that she was declared as the most “patriotic” artist of 2000 by Entertainment Weekly magazine.
She began her career as a model, leading to guest roles in television shows such as Boy Meets World and High Incident. In 1997, she made her film debut in the drama Nowhere.
She gained international fame for her role as Angela Hayes in the movie American Beauty, for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination.
