Hollywood star Maria Thayer had her career beginnings in the late 1990s. She debuted in the movie Kimberly, as well as had her first television appearance on Strangers with Candy. On the show, she played the starring role of Tamela “Tammi” Littlenut. She next appeared in three episodes of the show Big Apple. She later had guest appearances on such shows as The Education of Max Bickford, Miss Match, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Comedy Lab, and Will & Grace. She next starred in the made-for-television movie Romancing the Bride. She also reprised her role as Tamela “Tammi” Littlenut in the 2005 movie Strangers with Candy, which served as a prequel to the earlier series.

She later had supporting roles in the films Hitch, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Accepted, and State of Play. In 2008, she played Cassidy in a three-episode role on Lipstick Jungle, followed by guest roles on House and 30 Rock. In the 2010s, she became known for starring as Susie Wagner on Eagleheart. At the same time, she had roles in the movies Let Go and Night of the Living Deb. She then guest-starred on Cougar Town as Lisa Riggs. In 2016, she starred as Abbey Logan on the TV series Those Who Can’t. She also played Courtney in three episodes of The Mindy Project. Her latest work was in the 2017 film Table 19.

The 42-year-old actress stays in shape and even looks younger than her age by following a healthy lifestyle. Generally, she doesn’t consume processed and junk foods — at least she avoids them most of the time. Instead, she focuses on eating whole grains, lean proteins, and fiber-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables. She tries her best not to skip meals as that can lead to overeating. She doesn’t believe in extreme dieting such as depriving herself of food for the sake of losing weight.
