Lindsay Ellingson was born on November 19, 1984 in San Diego, California, USA. She attended University of California, San Diego to study biology.

She was then sent to Paris by her modeling agency after a test shoot where she met fashion designer John Galliano who helped her step up in her career. She made her runway debut in the Spring/Summer 2005 ready-to-wear shows.

She has since walked the runways for such designers as Chanel, Christian Dior, John Galliano, Gucci, Valentino, Lacoste, Victorias Secret, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, and many others. She has also graced the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle.
