Biography:

Laura Bertram was born on September 5, 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She attended University of Guelph where she finished a degree in history. She was a former singer with the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus. In 1992, she made her television debut on Are You Afraid of the Dark?. The following year, she starred on the TV movie Family Pictures.

It was also during this period that she played the lead role of Amanda Zimm on the TV series Ready or Not. While on the show, she starred on the TV movies Night of the Twisters and Sins of Silence. From 2000 to 2005, she became known for her role as Trance Gemini on Andromeda. Afterwards, she mostly starred on TV movies. From 2014 to 2015, she played Mary Dunbar on the TV drama When Calls the Heart.
