Chris Pratt‘s recent success as a movie star is highly remarkable. This is because he’s been acting since the early 2000s and has gained considerable amount of recognition but only as a supporting actor in several movies, as well as for his character on the sitcom Parks and Recreation. Who would have thought that in his mid 30s, he’d still have the opportunity to prove himself as an A-list star and a leading man.

That’s all thanks to his performance in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. This instantly rose him to Hollywood’s most famous and got him the lead role in Jurassic World in 2015. Another remarkable aspect about his sudden rise to fame is he’s physically transformed. If he’s going to be more exposed with his involvement in major Hollywood productions as an action/adventure figure, that means he needs to look like the part. Thus, Chris said goodbye to his old chubby self and underwent rigorous training and dieting to achieve his now lean bod.

Chris lost weight incredibly – 70 pounds. Of course, it was hard but with his determination he succeeded. It also has something to do with losing weight as a requirement for him to fit as the lead star in his recent box office films. Knowing the hard work needed, Chris worked out for seven days a week, not wanting to be complacent even in one, single day. He probably didn’t want to lose his momentum as he might lose focus once given a day of rest. That’s how dedicated he was with keeping fit and healthy. He underwent numerous strength training and cardio workouts to gain muscles. All his sacrifices resulted to his now lean and sculpted-looking body, which, course, made him more attractive. Presently looking and feeling good about himself, not to mention his new-found success as a Hollywood actor, all his hard work paid off.
