Kelly Rowland was born on February 11, 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She rose to fame when she joined the female group Destiny’s Child in 1992. Since then, the group has sold 60 million records worldwide.

In 2002, she released her debut solo album Simply Deep, and as of November 2012, has sold over 24 million records worldwide as a solo artist.

Apart from her music career, she has also launched a career in film, appearing in such movies as Freddy vs. Jason, The Seat Filler and Think Like a Man.
