Biography:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was born on February 17, 1981 in Los Angeles, California. At the age of four, he participated in a musical theatre group and performed in a production of The Wizard of Oz.

In 1991, at the age of 10, he became known as Daniel and David Collins in the Dark Shadows television series. The following year, he made his film debut with the movie Beethoven.

As an adult film actor, he’s had starring roles in such movies as (500) Days of Summer, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Premium Rush, Looper, and Don Jon, where he also served as the writer and director.
