It was in 1997 that American star Hilary Duff started her Hollywood career. Her first role was in the mini-series True Women. She next made her cinematic debut in 1998’s Casper Meets Wendy where she played Wendy. She next appeared in the TV movie The Soul Collector. Her breakthrough came in the early 2000s after landing the titular character in the Disney series Lizzie McGuire.

While on the show, she had also starred in the films Agent Cody Banks, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Cheaper by the Dozen, A Cinderella Story, and Raise Your Voice. She next starred in the films The Perfect Man, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and Material Girls. In 2009, she had a recurring role as Olivia Burke in Gossip Girl. Since 2015, she’s been starring as Kelsey Peters in the TV series Younger. She’s also recently starred in the 2016 film Flock of Dudes. She’s also a successful recording artist, gaining fame for her second album Metamorphosis.

The 30-year-old actress stays in shape by doing the best that she can when it comes to health and fitness. Now that she’s in her 30s and a mother of one, she strives to choose as healthily as possible. Talking about her fitness in an interview, she said: “Filming in New York now, my workouts have changed, but I found a really great trainer at Soho Strength Lab. When I go there, I do lots of squats, kettlebells, deadlifts, and medicine ball slams. And then I hit the stair master or treadmill for cardio. I’ve also been using the rower lately.”

When asked about other fitness trends she’s trying, she answered: “Well, I’ve been doing night shoots, and yesterday I just didn’t want to go through the ordeal of going to the gym before I had to head to set. So I did a mini bodyweight workout in my room and totally worked up a sweat! I just did moves on my own—I did 200 jumping jacks, pushups, triceps, dips, and squats. I also finally learned that rolling out my legs is so important. I keep a foam roller under my bed and it’s changed my life.”
