Mostly known for her works in the Tamil and Telugu cinema, Hansika Motwani had her first role in Desamuduru. This Telugu feature was released in 2007. Her debut proved to be notable for she won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Prior to this, she actually started acting as a child performer in Bollywood movies. As an adult, she made her Bollywood debut in Aap Kaa Surroor. For her role here, she earned a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. She next made her first Kannada performance in Bindaas. This was followed by the Bollywood feature Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. In 2012, she starred in the Telugu film Denikaina Ready. For this, she was nominated for a Filmfare for Best Actress. This year, she starred in the Tamil film Bogan, Telugu movie Goutham Nanda, and Malayalam feature Villain.

The acclaimed actress sustains her health and fitness by keeping an active lifestyle. She believes in the importance of a balanced lifestyle. Thus, aside from sticking to proper nutrition, she also maintains a mobile lifestyle. She loves exercising and moving around. This helps her feel stronger and achieves higher energy. Of course, by exercising she’s able to burn calories and maintains a healthy weight. It also helps to be in a good mood. In an interview, she got candid of her fitness routine. She said:

“I love waking up early and most days when I do, I jog my way to the gym. I find working with weights extremely boring, so I do most of my workouts where I can use my own body as resistance. I try to make workouts interesting so there is no fixed regime as such. Spinning and swimming every alternate day is a must. I do yoga regularly since I find it very relaxing and it also helps me stretch.”
