Terry O’Quinn is an American actor. His career spans decades, starting with a role in the 1980 film Heaven’s Gate. After more movie roles, he gained recognition for his role as Jerry Blake in The Stepfather. He got an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Lead for his performance here. In the 1990s, he starred in the films Blood Oath, The Rocketeer, Tombstone, Ghosts of Mississippi, Primal Fear, and The X-Files.
From 1996 to 1999, he starred as Peter Watts in the Fox series Millennium. In the 2000s, he played FBI Asst. Director Kendall in Alias. He next played General Nicholas Alexander in The West Wing. He rose to greater fame for his role as John Locke in Lost, a role that got him a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Afterward, he played Commander Joe White in Hawaii Five-0, Tom Tavner in Patriot, John Warner in Secret and Lies, Dale Lacy in Castle Rock, and Richard Kindred in Emergence.
