Emmy Rossum Workout Routine

Emmy Rossum

Hollywood star Emmy Rossum appeared in the films Songcatcher, An American Rhapsody, and Passionada during her initial years. Her role as Sean Penn’s daughter in Mystic River earned her greater attention. After this, she played a supporting role in The Day After Tomorrow. She next played female lead Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera. She has since starred in the films Poseidon, Dragonball: Evolution as Bulma, and Dare. In the 2010s, she starred in the movies Inside, Beautiful Creatures, Before I Disappear, and Comet. Since 2011, she’s been playing the role of Fiona Gallagher on the TV series Shameless. She has gotten Critics’ Choice and People’s Choice nominations for her role on the show. She will star in the upcoming film A Futile and Stupid Gesture.

The 31-year-old actress maintains her slender figure and toned physique by eating healthy and exercising. When it comes to her workout routine, she admits to being fond of taking classes. She said: “I like Physique 57, Burn 60 and SoulCycle or Flywheel, because I get positive energy from the people around me. You just can’t be the slacker. And I raise my hand like an idiot whenever the instructor asks if anyone is new to the class. I’m, like, ‘Yep, I’m the loser who hasn’t been here before.’ At least I’m not going to screw myself up by doing it wrong.”

She also spilled her secrets to losing weight more quickly. She said: “When I want to drop weight quickly, I cut back on my cardio and do a lot of weights instead. It’s counterintuitive, because you would think, I should stay on the treadmill for five hours. I also cut out all fruit and eat a lot of protein and vegetables. My go-to moves are walking lunges, leg raises and my favorite: four sets of 15 ballet pliés, holding 8-pound weights.”
