English actor Dominic Sherwood had his career start in the 2010s. His first professional role was as Jack Simmons in the BBC teen drama series The Cut. He next made a guest appearance in the show Sadie J. He later made his cinematic debut with his portrayal of Mick Jagger in the movie Not Fade Away. Afterward, he guest-starred in an episode of Mayday. He later became further known after starring as Christian Ozera in the film Vampire Academy, which was released in 2014. In 2016, he started playing the main role of Jace Herondale in the Freeform series Shadowhunters. Around the same time, he joined the main cast of the movie Billionaire Ransom. He also made a guest appearance in an episode of Modern Family.

The 28-year-old actor is not afraid to show his body in the show Shadowhunters. Why would he? He’s in his fittest and it’s only right for him to feel confident about it. The actor also revealed how his training for his role has since helped him maintain his muscular and toned physique. Playing a warrior/fighter in the show, Dominic and his castmates have undergone a boot camp training to help them improve their bodies. They learned how to eat right and they also learned how to train more effectively. The training not only helped him gain muscles, it also helped him become stronger.

Talking about the said training, he said: “It was incredibly intense, especially for myself and Daddario and Alberto, who play Alec and Simon, because we had to completely transform our bodies into something that we weren’t. I let myself go a little doughy – I think that’s the best way of saying it – and we had to turn into these lifelong soldiers, because that’s who they are. So we had to put on an incredible amount of muscle weight and maintain that through the show. Then, on top of that, learn how to use a sword and various martial arts so it looks like we’ve been doing it our entire lives.”
