Amanda Detmer started her acting career in the late 1990s, making her film debut in 1999’s Drop Dead Gorgeous. The following year, she gained recognition for starring as Terry Chaney in the movie Final Destination. She went on to have performances in the films Boys and Girls, Saving Silverman, The Majestic, Big Fat Liar, and Kiss the Bride. On television, she first had recurring roles in M.Y.O.B. and A.U.S.A. She then became known for her role as Deena Greco in the comedy-drama series What About Brian. She later played recurring part Morgan Gellman in Private Practice. She also appeared in the films Jam, You, Me and Dupree, and AmericanEast. In the 2010s, she starred as Brenda Hayden / Bridgette Hayden in the ABC sitcom Man Up! Her next role was as Jeannette Fiero in USA Network’s Necessary Roughness. Recently, she played Tracy Kingsley in the Fox series Empire.
