Biography:

Sonoya Mizuno was born on 01 July 1986 in Tokyo, Japan but grew up in Somerset, England. She attended the Royal Ballet Schoola and joined numerous ballet companies afterward. She then pursued modeling when she was 20. During this period, she’s modeled for Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton, to name a few.

She also ventured into movies, debuting as Kyoko in the 2014 British film Ex Machina. She next appeared in the films High Strung, La La Land, and Beauty and the Beast. In 2018, she had notable roles in such films as Annihilation, All About Nina, The Domestics, and Crazy Rich Asians. She also played Dr. Azumi Fujita in the Netflix miniseries Maniac. She recently played the lead in the new series Devs.
