Hollywood actress Zooey Deschanel had her career beginnings in the late 1990s. Her first movie role was in 1999’s Mumford. Her acting career became more active the following decade. During the 2000s, she gained notice for her supporting role in Almost Famous. She next had notable roles in the films The Good Girl, The New Guy, Elf, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Yes Man. She then gained wider recognition for starring in 2009’s (500) Days of Summer. In the 2010s, she became more famous courtesy of her lead role in the comedy series New Girl. Her role in the show has since earned her Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress. Also during this period, she starred in the films Our Idiot Brother, Your Highness, Rock the Kasbah, and Trolls.

The 38-year-old actress and singer stays in shape by sticking to an active lifestyle. Despite her crazy schedule, she makes sure she has time to work out. She does so not only to maintain a slender figure but to also sustain her overall healthy body. When asked what fitness routine she follows in an interview, she said: “I really mix it up. I hike, run, bike. I do an hour a day, and then have a day off a week. And I took six years of tap dancing, and I love it! Its a good cardio workout.”

She also explained that variety is crucial when it comes to exercising. She stated: “Yeah, sometimes its even just a walk. Its just about being active. When I was a kid, I went through a period where I just liked to sit in a closet reading all the time. And then in seventh grade I joined a swim team, and it really was so great for me. It just made me feel so much better. It changed my personality.”
