Zoey Deutch

It was in 2010 that Hollywood star Zoey Deutch started her acting journey. Her first ever acting gig was in the Disney series The Suite Life on Deck as recurring character Maya Bennett. She next guest-starred in the television shows NCIS and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Meanwhile, she started her film career at the same time with her debut in 2011’s Mayor Cupcake. She next had a small role in The Amazing Spider-Man.

She then gained attention for her recurring role as Juliet Martin in Ringer. She next starred in the movie Beautiful Creatures. Her break came shortly after as Rosemarie “Rose” Hathaway in the movie Vampire Academy. It was released in 2014. More recently, she gained further attention for her starring roles in a couple of films. This includes starring in the comedy films Why Him? and Everybody Wants Some!!. This year, she had roles in the movies Before I Fall, Rebel in the Rye, and The Disaster Artist.

The 23-year-old actress stays fit and healthy by keeping an active lifestyle. She keeps herself busy not just by her work as an actress. This is because she also engages in numerous physical activities. She works out and she enjoys outdoor activities with her friends as well. For her role in Vampire Academy, she also revealed that she got more physical in order to prepare for her role. Speaking of her training, she said:

“My favourite aspect of training was the kickboxing, just because I found it to be very therapeutic, as opposed to gym training, which was the most boring, tedious, obnoxious way of exercising, in my opinion, coming from a dancer-yogi-hiker. One move that I think is really helpful is all the chokeholds, because as a woman your punch isn’t going to do much to a 250-pound man. But choking them is going to knock them out, and buy you time to get out of there.”
