Tom Selleck

Hollywood actor Tom Selleck got his start in the late 1960s. The following decade, he had roles in the films Daughters of Satan and Terminal Island, among others. On television, he was first known as Jed Andrews in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. In the 1980s, he became best known for his lead role as Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV in the television series Magnum, P.I. At the same time, he starred in the movies Divorce Wars: A Love Story, High Road to China, Three Men and a Baby, and An Innocent Man.

He also played recurring role Dr. Richard Burke in the sitcom Friends, as well as played Jack McLaren in the sitcom The Closer. In the 2000s, he played Ivan Tiggs in Boston Legal and A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. Since 2010, he’s been starring as Frank Reagan in the CBS series Blue Bloods. He also played the lead in the TV film Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost and its sequels. His most recent work on the big screen was in the 2010 film Killers.

The actor is already in his 70s but we can all agree that he remains fit and healthy for his age. What’s his secret? Aside from sticking to a clean and a well-rounded diet, he also follows an active lifestyle. And since he’s old enough to be interested in various fitness fads that younger actors do these days, Selleck maintains his healthy body his own way. He doesn’t go to the gym or work with a trainer. He just pretty much does the basic, which is just to get moving.

In an interview, he said: “I don’t like to go to the gym. I have a sixty-three-acre ranch, and I do not all, but a lot of, the grunt work. Clearing brush, planting trees. We’ve got about a hundred ancient oaks I planted. I’ve probably planted a thousand trees myself.”
