Ted McGinley is an American actor. He had his career beginnings in the 1980s, starring as Roger Phillips in the sitcom Happy Days. In 1982, he made his film debut in Young Doctors in Love. He next starred in the movies Revenge of the Nerds, Troop Beverly Hills, and Physical Evidence. He also became known for starring as Ashley “Ace” Covington Evans in the TV series The Love Boat, as well as for playing Clay Fallmont in the primetime soap opera Dynasty.
McGinley gained wider fame for starring as Jefferson D’Arcy in the popular sitcom Married… with Children, a role he played from 1989 to 1997. After this, he played the role of Gordon in some episodes of Sports Night. From 2003 to 2006, he starred as Dr. Charley Shanowski in the sitcom Hope & Faith. More recently, he played recurring character Sam in No Good Nick. His latest film role was in 2018’s God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness.
