Tatanka Means started his acting career in 2005, debuting in the miniseries Into the West. His next roles were in the 2008 miniseries Comanche Moon and the film The Burrowers. In the 2010s, he appeared in an episode of Scoundrels, as well as had roles in the films Sedona, More Than Frybread, Tiger Eyes, and The Host. In 2014, he played recurring character Hoyt Rivers in the television series Banshee. He also played a brief role in the film A Million Ways to Die in the West. Following this, he had performances in the movies The Hybrids Family, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Burning Bodhi. He went on to play the part of Charges the Enemy in The Son.
