Ryan Kwanten is an Australian actor. He started acting professionally in the early ’90s. During his early years, he had appearances on the TV shows Home and Away, A Country Practice, and Water Rats. On television, his first notable role was as Vinnie Patterson on the Australian soap opera Home and Away. His first movie appearance, meanwhile, was in 1994’s Signal One. His first starring role on the big screen was in the 2003 Australian film Liquid Bridge. He then made his international debut was as Howard McLaughlin in the movie Flicka. He next starred in the Hollywood film Dead Silence. He also played the lead in the Australian features Red Hill and Griff the Invisible. From 2008 to 2014, he rose to fame for playing Jason Stackhouse on the HBO series True Blood. As of 2018, he stars as Steve Hammond on the new series The Oath.
