Padmapriya Janakiraman is an Indian actress. In 2004, she made her acting debut in the Telugu film Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi. She also appeared in the Malayalam movies Kaazhcha and Amrutham. The following year, she made her Tamil debut in Thavamai Thavamirundhu, which won her the Filmfare Awards South for Best Female Debut (South). She next won the Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress – Malayalam for her performance in 2006’s Karutha Pakshikal. She was also acclaimed for her role in Pazhassi Raja. In 2010, she had her first Hindi film in Striker and first Kannada role in Thamassu. She went on to star in the 2017 Hindi feature film Chef.
