Biography:

Maeve Dermody was born on January 1, 1985 in Sydney, Australia. She started acting at age five in the 1993 movie Breathing Under Water with her mother directing. She continued to be active in acting during her teens and further trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. During her high school years, she acted in such Australian TV shows as White Collar Blue and All Saints.

She then acted in her second film, in the 2007 British-Australian horror-thriller film Black Water. Afterwards, she starred in Beautiful Kate and Griff the Invisible, released in 2009 and 2010 respectively. She also continued her prolific career on the small screen with notable roles in Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms and Serangoon Road. As of 2015, she stars as Vera in the BBC miniseries And Then There Were None.
