American actress Julie Berman had her career beginnings in the late 1990s. She debuted playing the role of Shelby Connor on the family drama series 7th Heaven. She was on the show from 1997 to 1999. She next starred on the made-for-television film Vanished Without a Trace, as well as played recurring role Julie on Once and Again. She later landed one-time roles on ER and Boston Public. Afterward, she secured the role of Lulu Spencer on the show General Hospital, which also became her first starring role on television. She was part of the program’s main cast from 2005 to 2013, gaining her wider recognition.

She also reprised her role on General Hospital: Night Shift. In the 2010s, she starred on the TV film Sand Sharks. She later made guest appearances on the shows Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, Two and a Half Men, Jane the Virgin, and Satisfaction. More recently, she played recurring character Dr. Samantha “Sam” Zanetti on Chicago Med. At the same time, she starred as Leia on the show Casual, as well as appeared as Serena Ainsworth on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Meanwhile, she had made her film debut in 2015’s Valley of the Moon. In 2017, she starred in the Hallmark movie Love on Ice.

The actress stays in shape by following a healthy diet. She avoids processed foods, which she does effectively by preferring homemade meals over restaurant ones. She loves to cook because it allows her to choose what ingredients to put into her meals. “I’m able to eat healthy because I had to learn how to prepare healthier foods in a way that tastes good,” the television actress said. Some of her specialty meals are lemon garlic sea bass and spicy sweet potato fries. She also believes in the importance of moderation, so she takes it easy when indulging in her cravings.
