Biography:

Jonathan Groff was born on March 26, 1985 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S. He gained fame for his lead role of Melchior Gabor in the award-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening, for which he received a Tony Award nomination.

He has since appeared in several Off-Broadway productions and garnered critical acclaim for his performance in the West End production of Deathtrap. On television, he first gained recognition as Henry Mackler in One Life to Live.

From 2010 to 2012, he became further known for his character, Jesse St. James, in Glee. He has since appeared in other shows like The Good Wife, Boss, and now stars as Patrick in the HBO series Looking.
