English actress Jessica Henwick started strong as a performer after landing the lead on the British series Spirit Warriors. She’s the first actress of East Asian descent to ever do so. The said show aired on television for 10 episodes. Subsequently, she appeared on the TV shows The Thick of It, Obsession: Dark Desires, Silk, and Lewis. In 2015, she had roles in two films: Dragonfly and The Heart of the Forest. Her first work on a major television show was as Nymeria Sand on Game of Thrones. She appeared recurrently on the show from 2015 to 2017. At the same time, she appeared as Jessika Pava in the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She has also starred in the films The Headhunter and Rice on White. She became further known this year for playing the female lead on the Netflix show Iron Fist.

The actress has an active lifestyle. With her busy career recently that should also count for being mobile and active most of the time. Her latest roles involved her being a fighter or a warrior such as on Game of Thrones and Iron Fist, which means physical training for better physique and strength is required. She needs to make sure that not only does she stay lean and slender, she also stays strong and agile. This way, she’s able to portray her characters on shows and movies as a toughie more effectively.

In an interview, she became candid about the workout regimens she follow. She said: “I love competitive sports, and learning martial arts is probably one of my favorite physical activities. Lifting weights does make a big difference, so I’ll take that too, but I think gyms have such a silly amount of different weight machines these days. How many ways do you really need to work on your traps?”
