Biography:

J.R. Ramirez was born on October 8, 1980 in Matanzas, Cuba. He grew up in Tampa, Florida. In 2008, he made his professional acting debut as recurring role Diego Hernandez in the TV series Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. At the same time, he made his film debut in Tinslestars. In 2010, he had a recurring role on the show Hacienda Heights.

He became further known for playing Julio in Power where he was part of the main cast from seasons 2-4. He later portrayed Ted Grant/Wildcat in Arrow. He was recently cast for the role of Oscar in Jessica Jones’ second season. It will premier in 2018. He has also appeared in the 2015 movie Drunk Wedding.
