It was in 1980 that Heather Locklear began her journey as an actress. Her first acting gig was in CHiPs. Her first notable role on the small screen came the following year as Sammy Jo Carrington in Dynasty. Simultaneously, she also starred as Officer Stacy Sheridan in the series T. J. Hooker. In the ’90s, she first starred as Alexandra “Alex” Burton in the show Going Places. Subsequently, she rose to fame for her role as Amanda Woodward in Melrose Place.

Starting as a recurring role in the first season, she became part of the main cast from season 2 onwards. After Melrose Place wrapped up in 1999, she starred as Caitlin Moore in the series Spin City. Her next regular role was as Harley Random in LAX. She later reprised her role as Amanda Woodward in the sequel also titled Melrose Place. In the 2010s, she played Chloe in Hot in Cleveland and The First Lady in Too Close to Home. She also appeared in the feature film Scary Movie 5.

Despite her age, Melrose Place star Heather Locklear stays in shape by exercising on a regular basis. It is important to her that she keeps her body moving at all times. Talking about her workout routine, she said: “I do resistance training three times a week. That really helps with defying gravity and keeping things in place. I have light weights to do reps with both my arms and legs. I do cardio a couple times a week on the treadmill with the music blasting.”

There are also times that she misses her workout sessions, but she also understands the importance of consistency. Working out not only helps her keep her body fit and healthy, it also helps her stay in a good mood. She said: “If I miss my workouts for a few weeks, it’s harder when I go back. Keeping up with the healthy lifestyle makes it easier in the long run.”
