Biography:

Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in Redditch, Worcestershire, England, UK. He has been passionate about singing since he was a child and cited Elvis Presley and The Beatles as his musical influences.

In 2010, he auditioned as a solo contestant in the British version of The X Factor. Although he did not make it to the “Boys” category, he was put together with four other contestants to form a 5-member boy band, qualifying for the “Groups” category. He then came up with the name One Direction.

The group quickly gained prominence in the UK and eventually finished third in the competition. Their first album, Up All Night, was released in 2011, followed by their second album, Take Me Home, in 2012.
