Hollywood actress Evangeline Lilly had her career beginnings in the early 2000s. During her early years, she first appeared as extra in a couple of shows and films. In 2004, she made her major breakthrough as Kate Austen in the acclaimed television series Lost. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her role in Lost. The series aired on television for six seasons, making her a television staple.

While on the show, she also acted in the movies, including The Long Weekend and The Hurt Locker. After Lost ended in 2010, she focused her career on the big screen. She started with 2011’s Real Steel. She then played Tauriel in The Hobbit films. She later played Hope van Dyne in Ant-Man. Her latest movie is 2017’s Little Evil. She will also reprise her role as Hope van Dyne in Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Evangeline Lilly stays in shape by sticking to an active lifestyle. She admitted that while she was more into intense training before, she now prefers to just get moving by doing the basics. She prefers the soothing feeling of just walking and swimming. This way, she gets to exercise her body without the mental pressure. She said: “Your mind and soul are the kings of your physique way more than any exercise you do. I was a hardcore buff girl, [but now] I go on leisurely walks and swim. My body’s 10 times better.”

She also maintains her overall health and fitness by getting enough sleep. No matter how vigorous your training is, it won’t matter if you don’t get enough sleep and the actress knows this. She said: “Sleep is the number-one thing. When I don’t sleep enough, I look bloated, my hair gets flat, and my skin goes to pot. If you struggle with bloating, get some effing sleep.”
