Actress Ellen Barkin started her career playing an extra on the screen during the ’70s and early ’80s. Her first credited role was in the TV film We’re Fighting Back. She became active on television in the 2010s, starring as Jane Forrest on the NBC sitcom The New Normal, after which she starred as Dani Kirschenbloom on the comedy-drama series Happyish. In 2016, she started playing the role of Janine “Smurf” Cody on the TNT series Animal Kingdom. Her latest film roles, on the other hand, were in Hands of Stone and Active Adults.
