Biography:
Catherine Keener was born on March 23, 1959 in Miami, Florida, USA. She attended Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts where she majored in English and history.
She made her film debut in the 1986 movie About Last Night. She then earned her first starring role in the film Johnny Suede with the then unknown Brad Pitt.
In 2000, she portrayed Maxine Lund in Spike Jonze’s John Malkovich. Her performance got her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
She has since appeared in such films as Lovely & Amazing, The Interpreter, Capote and Into the Wild, among others.
