Hollywood actress Becki Newton started her career in the early 2000s. During her beginnings, she acted on the TV shows Cold Case, Guiding Light, American Dreams, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Charmed. She then became known for her role as Amanda Tanen on Ugly Betty. The popularity of the show earned her mainstream recognition. While on the show, she starred in the movie August Rush. After Ugly Betty had ended, she joined the main cast of Love Bites. She also played recurring part Quinn Garvey on How I Met Your Mother. She went on to star on the short-lived shows The Goodwin Games and Weird Loners.

The actress will turn in her 40s next year, but it clearly doesn’t show. Becki credits her fabulous looks and slender physique to her healthy diet. For years now, the former Ugly Betty star is conscious of what she eats. She stays away from fast food and other processed food items most of the time. She knows eating junk foods will eventually take its toll, not only on her looks but on her overall health and wellness. Despite the temptations of delectable foods, she stays grounded and focuses on keeping herself healthy.

For this reason, she concentrates on eating lean proteins, foods rich in fiber, whole grains, as well as fruits and vegetables. She starts her day right with a healthy breakfast. This usually is eggs, or whole grain cereals with fruits on the side. She likes drinking fruit juices and shakes, too. This keeps her invigorated throughout the day. For lunch and dinner, she mostly has protein-rich foods, such as chicken and fish. She makes sure she incorporates fruits and veggies in all her meals. She also hydrates herself with plenty of water. In an interview, she said: “A few months ago I replaced every diet soda and glass of wine with water for a month, and I noticed a huge difference in how soft my skin felt. And I didn’t break out!”
