Hollywood star Anya Taylor-Joy first had a brief role in the 2014 film Vampire Academy. That same year, she made her television debut in an episode of Endeavour. She also appeared in the TV movie Viking Quest. The following year, she was noticed for her performance in the horror film The Witch. At the same time, she appeared as Cassandra in some episodes of the BBC One series Atlantis.

She next had roles in the films Morgan and Barry. Her role as Casey Cooke in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split gained her wider recognition. She later had performances in the films Marrowbone and Thoroughbreds. In 2017, she starred as Petronella “Nella” Brandt in BBC One’s The Miniaturist. Her career only flourished further, starring as Gina Gray in Peaky Blinders and voicing Brea in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

She then reprised her role as Casey Cooke in Glass and portrayed Irene Curie in Radioactive. This year, she starred as the titular character in the film Emma. At the same time, she starred in the films Here Are the Young Men and The New Mutants. Taylor-Joy is also currently best known for her lead role as Beth Harmon in the miniseries The Queen’s Gambit.

Even in her early 20s, Anya Taylor-Joy already takes care of herself by practicing a healthy lifestyle. Most of the time, she’s conscientious of her diet. She also tries to lead an active life by exercising whenever she can. However, she also admits that her crazy schedule doesn’t give her much free time to visit the gym.

Nonetheless, she still considers her on-the-go lifestyle as a form of exercise. Being busy with work, that’s a lot of physical exertions coming from her. “The whole day feels like exercise, waking up at 4am and going straight to work. I want to get back into ballet and hip-hop dance classes. They help me to focus on one moment clearly,” said the actress.
