Alexander Siddig is an English actor. He first debuted in the 1987 film Sammy and Rosie Get Laid. In the 1990s, he gained recognition for his role as Dr. Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In the 2000s, he had roles in the films Vertical Limit, Reign of Fire, Kingdom of Heaven, Syriana, The Nativity Story, The Last Legion, A Lost Man, and Doomsday. In 2007, he played recurring character Hamri Al-Assad in the Fox series 24. He continued his successful television career in the 2010s, playing Philip Burton in Primeval. He next starred as Al-Rahim in Da Vinci’s Demons, Minos in Atlantis, and Doran Martell in Game of Thrones. He recently played Ruben Oliver in Peaky Blinders and Ra’s al Ghul in Gotham.
