He first gained recognition for starring as Cameron Frye in the teen comedy film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. In the ’90s, he starred as Charlie Davis on the ABC sitcom Going Places. He next appeared as Dr. Marshall Jones on the show Muscle. He later gained wider notice for starring as Stewart Bondek on the sitcom Spin City. He also played Robert “Rabbit” Nurick in the film Twister. In the 2000s, he had roles in the movies Cheaper by the DozenKickin’ It Old Skool, and The Happening. He also played John Harriman in Star Trek: Of Gods and Men. His recent roles include as Henry Rance on The Exorcist and Connor Ray on Succession.
