Biography:

Alicia Vikander was born on October 3, 1988 in Gothenburg, Sweden. She starred in numerous musicals at the Gothenburg Opera. She later trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm from 2004 to 2007.

She has made appearances in television shows and made-for-television movies before she landed her breakthrough role as Jossan Tegebrandt Björn in the Swedish television series Andra Avenyn.

In 2010, she played Katarina in the film Pure, for which she received the Rising Star Award at the Stockholm Film Festival in 2010.

She has since appeared in films, including A Royal Affair, Anna Karenina, Hotell and The Fifth Estate.
