Biography:

Wes Bentley was born on September 4, 1978 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA. He attended Juilliard School’s Drama Division but left after a year to pursue a career in acting.

He made his acting debut in the 1995 short film Serendipity Lane followed by the 1998 films Three Below Zero and Beloved. The following year, he made his breakthrough in American Beauty.

For his performance in American Beauty, he won the National Board Review Award for Best Male Breakthrough Performance and earned a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

He has since appeared in such films as Ghost Rider, The Tomb and Jonah Hex, among others.
